Dan Jacobs does not feel sorry for Jeremy Corbyn.
Poor Jeremy, he is being hung out to dry. Why? Because he defended himself against those Jews, sorry, I mean Zionists.
The EHRC decided Labour under his leadership broke the law in being discriminatory against Jews. Sure, maybe, but it’s not his fault. He was just the leader.
What about that other thing that those other people have done?
Poor Jeremy, just look at all the times Jeremy took a stand against antisemitism. Sure most of the time it was to deny that he was antisemitic when he: defended that mural; placed a wreath at the grave of a terrorist; wrote a foreword to a book without mentioning the author’s rabid antisemitism; othered some English Jews by saying they had no sense of irony, etc. But every time he was called out for something potentially antisemitic, he reminded us that he was a lifelong anti-racist.
What about that other thing that those other people have done?
Poor Jeremy, his mum was at Cable Street after all. I mean, so was the mother of his rabidly antisemitic conspiracy nut of a brother Piers, but that’s different right?
What about that other thing that those other people have done?
Poor Jeremy, many of his Jewish friends love him such as Paul Eisen who Jeremy was friends with for years. It’s not Jeremy’s fault that he didn’t know Paul Eisen was a Holocaust denier.
What about that other thing that those other people have done?
Poor Jeremy, the EHRC was set up by the last Labour government and they were basically Tories, so it’s a stitch-up.
What about that other thing that those other people have done?
Poor Jeremy, what’s more important? The report that shows Jews have faced antisemitism that breached the law or Jeremy’s ego?
What about that other thing that those other people have done?
Poor Jeremy, why should he show contrition for the illegal systemic antisemitism in the party he was the leader of? It’s not like he could do anything about it at the time could he?
